Yesterday was the 6th and I was celebrating with a nice dinner at a nice place.
Not having any idea of a nice play at KB,
we decided to try on this new restaurant around the corner at KB town adjoined with Swiss Hotel.
we decided to try on this new restaurant around the corner at KB town adjoined with Swiss Hotel.
It’s this nice restaurant which was expensively decorated.
You’ll know what I mean when you pay a visit there.
I didn’t like the menu because they only have so little choice. But it is nicely decorated.
So we ordered the following:
Appetizer: Cheesy Garlic Bread (B$8)
It has 4 pieces of garlic bread with eggs (bird’s) and anchovies on top
Soup: French Onion Soup (Soup of the day – B$4)
With a piece of garlic bread
Main Course: Curry Laksa (B$8.80), Linguine Mix Seafood (B$15)
Dessert: Panna Cotta (B$5)
Drinks: Rock Melon Juice (B$4), Chocolate Milkshake (B$4)
*With a 10% service charge.

So that was our order for that evening.
Let’s start on the review.
The Cheesy Garlic Bread was simply awesome. The edge was crispy but the whole thing was soft enough to let me taste everything at once. Definitely only a master can make garlic bread like that.
The Onion Soup was definitely better than others that I had in other restaurants.
The Curry Laksa was not the way how I expected, but it was okay. I suggest they changed the noodle choice to ‘meehon’. The noodle I had was too thick and it was hard for me to eat.
The Linguine Seafood was not bad, but there’s place for improvement. The amount of seafood provided was satisfying, really enjoyed the dish.
I could call the Panna Cotta the art of food, with its design, and also the strawberry sauce and caramel sauce makes the dish close to perfection. The fresh strawberry on top really makes me happier :D
The Rock Melon Juice is not bad, while the Chocolate Milkshake can be the best Milkshake i've ever drink. I loved the texture. It looked very delicious and it tastes chocolatey.
Panna Cotta in Prego Mauri |
And I did some research on the net and people recommended the Prawn Carbonara.
So if you would like to try some new western Italian food in KB or have some other choices of the locals in the same restaurant with your family members in Brunei.
Prego Mauri is the place to go.
With its friendly waitstaffs and its exquisite furnishing, this is what I call fine dining.
